Trauma-informed yoga requires no prior experience and benefits everyone. It promotes resilience, self-regulation, and healing. Key principles include:

1. Prioritizing physical and emotional safety

2. Encouraging self-awareness and choice

3. Allowing participants to decide their level of engagement or rest

4. Fostering awareness of bodily sensations and breath

5. Giving participants agency over their experience

6. Using orienting, centering and grounding techniques to regulate the nervous system

7. Maintaining a more deliberate pace for processing and adjustment.

It focuses on creating a compassionate and non-judgmental environment, while addressing the unique physical, emotional, and psychological needs of pregnant and postpartum individuals….

The practices are designed to help you reconnect with your body and find calm during overwhelming moments. These sessions provide a safe, supportive space to listen to your body and move at your own pace.

A 5-week series or individual session - can be especially empowering, especially if you include your spouse or partner.

Hatha Yoga with Adelaide

Explore a beginner-friendly and accessible yoga flow guiding you through the foundations of yoga. Here, your teacher will take you through pranayama, asana, and meditation while holding space for you to connect with your body, breath, mind, and energy.

This class is a perfect introduction to yoga, with guidance from your teacher and encouragement embrace what you need from your practice.

Variations and props are readily available throughout class, so that ever aspect of the practice is accessible and welcoming for you.
